Tamara Pataridze is a Research Associate (F.R.S. – FNRS, « chargé de recherches ») at the Université Catholique de Louvain [UCL, Belgium]. She started her research career with studies of philological and theological aspects of the Byzantine patristic texts translated into Georgian. Presently her research is focused on the study of reception of Syriac and Christian Arabic literature in the Caucasian world, as well as the relationship between science and religion in Georgian sources. Besides Tbilisi State University (Georgia) and UCL (Belgium), she had conducted her research projects in Central European University, « Center for Eastern Mediterranean Studies » (Budapest), and Hebrew University of Jerusalem, « Center for the Study of Christianity » (Israel). Her main publications are in the field of Eastern Christianity, Caucasian studies, Manuscript Studies, Syriac and Christian Arab Studies and Digital Humanities.
